Directions to Warsash campus

The Warsash campus is located on the south coast of England, overlooking Southampton Water, with excellent and fast access by rail, air and road.

Getting there by road

From the west, exit the M27 at junction eight and take the third exit towards the A27. Remain in the nearside lane approaching the Windhover roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A27 towards Fareham. Continue for 2½ miles (crossing the River Hamble at Swanwick Marina) and then turn right at the top of the hill, by the church in Sarisbury Green, into Barnes Lane. At the end of Barnes Lane, turn right into Brook Lane.  After ¾ mile you will reach the Warsash village mini roundabout. Go straight over into Newtown Road and Warsash Maritime Academy is approximately ½ mile ahead on the right hand side.

From the east, exit the M27 at junction nine and turn left at the end of the slip road towards the Segensworth roundabout on the A27. Stay in the offside lane and take the westbound A27 exit towards Park Gate (not Warsash). Continue on the A27 over two further mini roundabouts. At the third roundabout (Esso garage on left) turn left into Brook Lane. On reaching the next roundabout take the 3rd exit (still Brook Lane). Continue for one mile until you reach Warsash village mini roundabout. Go straight over into Newtown Road and Warsash Maritime Academy is approximately ½ mile ahead on the right hand side.

Getting there by air

Southampton Airport (Southampton Airport Parkway station) and Bournemouth International Airport have flights to/from a number of European cities.

From London Heathrow: Take the Southwest Trains coach link to Woking and travel by rail from Woking to Southampton Airport Parkway station where there is a taxi rank. Journey time is approximately two hours.

From London Gatwick: Take a train to Fareham, where there is a taxi rank. Journey time is approximately two hours.

Getting there by rail

From London Gatwick airport and south-east England, travel to Fareham where there is a taxi rank.

From London and the rest of the UK, travel to Southampton Central or Southampton Airport Parkway stations (as appropriate), where there are taxi ranks.

The closest station to Warsash is Swanwick. This station is on the line between Southampton Central (from west and London) and Fareham (from east). This station does not have a taxi rank. Getting there by coach

Getting there by bus

The X5 runs from Southampton city centre to Gosport, via Warsash village.

Getting there by taxi

We use Radio Taxis (01489 573573) for local journeys and Southampton Airport links. Metered taxis at airports are expensive, so booking is advisable.
