Biography

Quentin spent 12 years with BP Shipping starting as an apprentice and leaving as Chief Officer, having attained his Class1 Foreign Going Master Mariners Certificate of Competency. After a spell as a Marine Consultant, largely involved in commercial vetting and cargo expediting, he returned to coastal and short sea shipping, sailing as Captain during this period.

He joined the Petrochemical section of Warsash in 1997 and has been involved in the development and delivery of tanker courses since then. His academic portfolio was enhanced with the attainment of Master of Arts in open and Distance Education, through the Open University.

His consultancy activities include ship vetting and risk assessment of ports and shipyards.
