Performance and Reward Management

About this course

This unit is complementary to the Maritime Talent Management unit and is designed to develop students' understanding of issues relating to the sourcing of personnel and their ongoing professional development.

It focuses on practices, processes and systems and requires students to develop a critical assessment of how these are managed in maritime business contexts. In doing so they will evaluate a range of theories and practical applications in order to understand how these promote organisational objectives within a competitive maritime environment.

This unit is one of the four comprising the Maritime Human Resource Management optional strand within the MSc Shipping Operations.
