Automated External Defibrillation

Course Description

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is increasingly being made available for use by first aiders.

This course provides basic life support training and use of the AED. It is suitable for anyone, even where no other first aid qualification is held.

AED training is now completed as standard with the Medical First Aid On Board Ship course at no extra cost.

To assist students who would like to complete this four hour course, while at WMA undertaking their professional studies, or other short courses, the training can be been scheduled to fit around other course timetables. Training may take place over two early evening sessions, or a four hour Saturday morning session. (Minimum number of 6 students).
