Manned Model Advanced Ship Handling

  • Duration 4.5 Days
  • Prerequisites Whilst there are no prerequisites, the course is designed for experienced pilots and senior mariners who have previously completed a manned model ship handling course and wish to develop their skills further.
  • Teaching Methods Theory sessions/work shops on the principles of ship handling with the emphasis on critical, complex and confined manoeuvring followed by exercises on the lake in a variety of ships.

Course Description

To enable experienced pilots to further enhance their knowledge and understanding of shiphandling techniques with particular reference to situations encountered in their sphere of operations. The content of the course can be customised to meet the requirements and aspirations of the individual pilots or mariners attending the course and addresses the more advanced issues of shiphandling, which may include the use of tugs.
