Course Description
This course meets the principles laid down in IMO Resolution A960 Section 5. The aim is to enable participants to develop their skills and understanding of the principles and practices of ship handling with emphasis on emergency procedures and manoeuvres which includes steering, engine and bow thruster failures.
The course consists of concentrated periods of practical exercises in the scaled models supported by a series of lectures - will be tailored to suit individual student needs and may also include interaction and escort towage principles using radio controlled tugs if required.
