Finding a suitable, safe and comfortable place to stay is a priority for all students, cadets and delegates. At Warsash Maritime Academy we have a variety of options available to suit your needs.

Make sure you complete the Cadet online induction. It is designed to help give you the essential information you need before moving into residences.

Short Course and Officer Accommodation
Hamblemeads Guesthouse is situated at the entrance to the campus and offers 26 study bedrooms. Its quiet location makes it ideal for officers, short courses and business delegates.
Cadet Accommodation On-Campus
Cadet accommodation is available on campus in our two student Residences, Blyth and Shackleton. The two residences offer a total of 67 single study bedrooms and 81 twin study bedrooms available to Warsash cadets. Both residences are located in the centre of the Maritime Academy close to all the campus facilities
Every study-bedroom has a data access point, so you can plug straight into the Internet (certain restrictions apply) at no extra charge . It's a high-speed service and is much faster than broadband. You'll need to supply your own computer with an Ethernet adapter installed.
Cadet Accommodation in Southampton
For Phase 3, 5 or 7 students, accommodation may also be available in our city centre Student Residence, Emily Davies. Located in the heart of Southampton, Emily Davies consists of three and four bedroom flats with a shared kitchen and bathroom facility.
Peace of mind with new Housing Code
The Residences at Southampton Solent University fully comply with a new standard for student accommodation, the Universities UK/Guild HE Code of Practice for the Management of Student Housing.|
This code covers, among other matters, health and safety, maintenance and repair, and relationships between the University and student tenants. It outlines best practice and provides benchmarks for the management - and quality - of student housing in the sector.
Catering facilities
If you stay with in the residences on the Warsash campus, you will receive a full catering package from the Academy Restaurant. Accommodation at Emily Davies Residence in Southampton is on a self-catering basis.
The campus also has a fully licensed coffee bar, Mariners, offering a range of draught/bottled beers along with wine, spirits and soft drinks.
Private Accommodation
Of course you don't have to opt for Residences. You could go for private rented accommodation, either as a lodger or sharing a house or flat with some friends.
