Cadet Accommodation On-Campus
Cadet accommodation is available on campus in our two student Residences, Blyth and Shackleton. The two residences offer a total of 67 single study bedrooms and 81 twin study bedrooms available to Warsash cadets. Both residences are located in the centre of the Maritime Academy close to all the campus facilities.
Shackleton Student Residence
Overlooking the waterfront Shackleton is a listed building and has five floors.
With 30 single study bedrooms and 48 twin study bedrooms, Shackleton is the largest student residence on campus.
Each study bedroom is furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, chair and desk. There are shared bathroom facilities on each floor with individual toilet and shower facilities.
Blyth Student Residence
The Blyth Student Residence consists of 37 single study-bedrooms and 33 twin study-bedrooms. Situated on the southern edge of the campus, Blyth has three floors.
Each study-bedroom is furnished with a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair and desk. Bedrooms in Blyth have a washbasin and there are shared bathroom facilities on each floor with individual toilet and shower facilities.
Within the Residence, there is a laundry and a common room with basic kitchen facilities and Sky TV. Blyth also has a snooker room which is open to all residents.
Internet Access
Every study-bedroom has a data access point, so you can plug straight into the Internet (certain restrictions apply) at no extra charge . It's a high-speed service and is much faster than broadband. You'll need to supply your own computer with an Ethernet adapter installed.
