Head of Bridge Simulation, Steve Window, Senior Lecturer, Gordon Meadow and Senior Lecturer, Darren West, are speakers at this conference.
Steve's presentation is entitled: The normalisation of deviation OR How eye-tracking software can help correct behaviours which allow seafarers to take short cuts to replace thorough procedure. He will be speaking on 10 May at 12.15.
Gordon's presentation is entitled: How we prepare for the future leadership and training for Shipping 3.0. He will be speaking on 9 May at 17.10.
We also have a stand at the show, which will be manned by Adrian Crawford, Commercial Manager. Adrian will be able to answer any queries about seafarer certification and training.

9-11 May 2016, Copenhagen, DenmarkCommercial Manager, Alan Cartwright hosted our stand at Europe's largest event dedicated to seafarer education and training. Alan was on hand to answer enquiries related to STCW training, including updating training, as well as seafarer certification programmes. Alan also took part in a panel discussion on compliance vs competency. Senior Lecturer, Claire Pekcan also spoke about 'the fatigue bottom line: do we just need more crew?'. 13-16 September 2015, Berlin, GermanyDr Simon Daniels was a speaker at the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) Annual Conference in Berlin. The conference is the widest possible international marine insurance forum and brings together marine insurers from markets around the world. Simon presented on "how maritime training can mitigate risk".
