Congratulations to senior lecturer, Captain Muhammad Shafique, who received a Fellowship of the Nautical Institute at their AGM and Command Conference last month.
The event was held at Trinity House and was attended by HRH The Princess Royal, as well as a number of industry figures. The London Sea Cadets provided the Guard of Honour.
Muhammad has been associated with the Nautical Institute for twenty years. He has served as Honorary Secretary and Branch Chairman. During the ceremony, he was also honoured with an award for his services to the Institute, in particular for recruitment. Muhammad received his award from President of the Nautical Institute, Captain David (Duke) Snider FNI.
In addition to this Fellowship, Muhammad was recently awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Marine Science and Engineering (IMarEST).
