Automated External Defibrillation

About this course

Automated external defibrillators (AED) are increasingly being made available for use by first aiders.

This course provides basic life support training and the use of automated external defibrillators which are commonly used in cases of cardiac arrest. Anyone may attend and there is no requirement to have undertaken first aid training previously.

AED training is now completed as standard with the Proficiency in Medical First Aid course at no extra cost.

To assist students who would like to complete this four-hour course while at Warsash undertaking their professional studies or other short courses, the training can be scheduled to fit around other course timetables.  Training may take place over two early evening sessions, or a four-hour Saturday morning session (minimum number of six students).
