FOET - Further Offshore Emergency Training - OPITO Approved

About this course

NOTE: Warsash Maritime Academy does not currently offer this standalone course due to lack of demand. Instead, we offer an OPITO-approved FOET and ECT combined course which is more widely acceptable internationally. Please click here to check availability and course fee for this combined course. However, if you wish to enquire about a block booking for eight or more students please contact the course administrator.

This one-day course is refresher training for holders of an in-date Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) or Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) certificate.

The course complements and refreshes existing emergency training and updates and reinforces the knowledge gained on the BOSIET course with regard to helicopter underwater escape training (HUET), survival techniques, hand held fire fighting equipment and self-rescue techniques using smoke hoods and emergency first aid.

Upon successful completion of the course, all students will be issued with an OPITO-approved certificate. The certificate is valid for four years from the date of issue. Prior to the expiry of this certificate, the FOET course must be undertaken again to maintain the currency of the qualification.

Please click here to see dispensation rules if your BOSIET/FOET certificate has expired.
