Why choose Warsash Maritime Academy?
Our course lecturers are all experienced officers who have sailed on chemical tankers in senior ranks. Delegates will benefit from their experience and the interaction between themselves and other delegates. The opportunity to question lecturers, discuss and share experience of tanker operations greatly enhances the learning experience and aids comprehension and knowledge retention. This is a major advantage of a classroom based environment when compared with computer based training.
STCW Training in Tanker Fire Fighting
In order to comply with the STCW A-V requirements, and to be able to apply for the Dangerous Cargo Endorsement without delay, you must be in possession of a Training in Tanker Fire Fighting certificate to attend basic and advanced tanker cargo operations courses.
If you have not yet completed the tanker fire fighting element (which is a five-hour standalone course), we can offer this training combined with Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting.
A Training in Tanker Fire Fighting certificate will be issued upon completion.
In the near future, this combined training will be extended to delegates attending Training in Advanced Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations, Training in Advanced Oil Tanker Cargo Operations and Training in Advanced Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations.
