Finding a suitable, safe and comfortable place to stay is a priority for all of our students and delegates.
There is no accommodation available on the Warsash campus. Officer cadets are able to apply for accommodation in Solent University's Emily Davies and David Moxon student residences. For senior officers attending practical training courses at the Warsash campus, we hold a list of private accommodation options near to the Academy. See below for further information.
All Warsash cadets can apply for accommodation in Solent University's David Moxon and Emily Davies student residences. Located in Southampton city centre, both residences are a short walk from the St Mary's and main East Park Terrace campuses.

Students can also look at accommodation offered in the private sector through the accredited SASSH scheme, with support from the University's accommodation team. This support helps ensure that any property you stay in will be safe, secure and fit for purpose.

If it's your first time living away from home, there's nothing to worry about. Our student residences are not only safe and comfortable, they're also great places to work, relax, socialise and meet new friends. There's a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and a real community spirit.
When allocating students into rooms, we aim to create mixed and integrated communities. You may find yourself with or near phase 1, phase 3 and phase 5 cadets who may range in age from 16 years upwards. There are many benefits to living in such an environment, not least the opportunity to meet and live with cadets from different cultures and backgrounds.
It's important to remember that living with many different people can sometimes be naturally vibrant and lively. We ask all of our cadets to live harmoniously and show consideration and respect towards their fellow residents, staff, the local community and to the residence itself.
Cadet life provides the opportunity to be independent and stand on your own two feet. Equally we believe that help should never be far away and a dedicated residence management team is on hand 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Each residence and study-bedroom is designed to ensure only residents can gain access. The residences meet the current fire safety regulations and the government approved codes of practice for management of student accommodation.
All of our student residences are fully compliant with the Student Accommodation Code.
