We are proud to have both pioneered the use of simulators in the 1970s and to have been world leaders for several decades now in the provision of higher level simulation training for bridge, engine room, liquid cargo operations and manned model ship handling.
We have an impressive range of bridge simulation and ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) training facilities, ably supported by our highly experienced lecturing staff who have many years of operational navigation experience, as well as their teaching and assessor qualifications.
All deck officers undertaking our certification programmes have to complete mandatory specialist courses on these bridge simulators and ECDIS equipment before finally gaining their professional certification.
The set up of our full mission bridge and engine room simulators test communication, cooperation, situational awareness, decision making, team working, leadership and managerial skills. This ensures optimum bridge team and engine room resource management and operations.
