OPITO recently published new standards for HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) with EBS and its refresher course. WMA is now offering these two new courses under the following titles:
HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) with EBS
This one day course provides theory and practical training in the use of Emergency Breathing System (EBS) equipment, also referred to as ‘re-breather’ equipment, and is combined with Helicopter Underwater Escape Training. This is an integral part of basic offshore emergency training for everyone working offshore in the UK sector and carries OPITO approval.
The certificate is valid for four years after which Further Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with EBS (Emergency Breathing System) can be undertaken to maintain the validity of the training. Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) with EBS (Emergency Breathing System) can be undertaken to maintain the validity of the training.
Further HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) with EBS
This half-day course provides ‘refresher’ training for OPITO approved Helicopter Underwater Escape Training combined with the use of Emergency Breathing System (EBS).
The certificate is valid for four years after which the same training can be undertaken every four years to maintain the validity of the training.
Further HUET with EBS is a ‘refresher’ for the HUET with EBS course. Currently, both these courses are offered on demand. However, it is likely that some scheduled courses will be offered in the near future. Please contact the course administrator for any inquiries relevant to any of the above courses or any other courses required for the Offshore Oil and Gas industry.
