Warsash cadet efforts in raising sponsorship for the charter of the 35 foot 'Grande Surprise' racing yacht in order to take part in the Hydro's Cup Sailing regatta in Marseilles in April are well under way.
Generous donations have been received from a number of local businesses, individuals and Shipping Companies and the team are very close to funding the cost of the boat for the four day event .
A welcomed donation was recently received by The Warsash Association and pictured here is Officer Cadet Giles Sedgeman and staff taking part in the sailing event, as they are presented with a cheque for £500 on behalf of The Warsash Association in UK, Australia & New Zealand by the Chairman, Roger Holt.
The races in the Gulf of Marseilles will go ahead during the Easter break from April 4th -April 7th.
