We were delighted to see the very first graduates of the MSc Shipping Operations course celebrate at their graduation ceremony on 18 November.
Launched in 2011 and accredited by IMarEST, the MSc Shipping Operations is aimed at professionals working in the maritime industry and focuses specifically on the safety and human resource management aspects of maritime operations.
The course is offered via distance learning, thereby making it accessible to individuals who are serving at sea, or who are in shore-side positions, where taking time off to study on a residential course is not possible.
After the graduation ceremony the graduates attended a reception with their families, hosted by Professor John Chudley, Dean of Southampton Solent University's Maritime and Technology Faculty.
