hydro-3-250pxOn 17 April 2015, eight cadets and three lecturers travelled to Le Havre, France, to compete in the Hydro's Cup, an annual regatta which gathers teams from the French and European maritime industry.

With two teams and two race days, the weekend was set to be fun but challenging. The first day of racing led to 6th and 7th place finishes in individual races. The second day 3rd and 4th places, putting the Warsash team in line with some other teams who race together every week, training for events like these.

Rachel Arnold, a Phase 3 deck cadet said, “Having never sailed before, never mind racing, it was an incredible experience, which required teamwork, communication and determination. I am so glad I took part, and it turned out to be a really fun weekend!”

Team Warsash would like to thank their sponsors who made the trip possible, including Nautilus International, and the Honourable Company of Master Mariners.
